Printer Does Not Function

Problem
Printer Does Not
Function.
Possible Causes
Printer not plugged in.
Receipt cover not fully
closed.
Cables within the
printer are improperly
connected to the PC
board.
Printer is not correctly
configured.
Power Voltage too
Low/High.
Power supply voltage
is out of range.
What to Do
Check that printer cables
are properly connected
on both ends. Make sure
the ground wire is
properly connected.
Check that the host or
power supply is getting
power.
Close and latch the
receipt cover.
Make sure the cables in
the printer are properly
connected to the PC
board.
Check the printer's
configuration and
reconfigure if necessary.
Check that all cable
connections are correct
and that the power
supply (if present) is
plugged in and the
printer is on-line.
Measure the voltage with
an AC voltmeter and
check it against the
power supply label. The
voltage range should be
24V ± 10%.
