You can solve many common refrigerator
problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible
service call. Try the suggestions
below to see if you can solve your problem without outside
help. If the suggestions
do not work, please call the Whirlpool Consumer Assistance
Center
toll-free from anywhere in the U.S. at 1-800-253-l

Check if...
The power supply cord is unplugged.
Then...
Firmly plug the cord into a live outlet with
proper voltage.
A household
fuse has blown or circuit breaker
has tripped.
Replace the fuse or reset the circuit.
The refrigerator control is turned to the
"OFF" position.
See "Setting the controls" on page 14.
The refrigerator is defrosting.
Recheck to see if the refrigerator is operating in
30 minutes. Your refrigerator will regularly run an
automatic defrost cycle.
If it is still not running after checking the above
items, call the Consumer Assistance Center at
l-800-253-1301.

1 Check if...
Then...
The power supply cord is unplugged.
Firmly plug the cord into a live outlet with
orooer voltaoe.
1 A household fuse or circuit breaker has triooed.
Reolace the fuse or reset the circuit.
A light bulb is loose in the socket.
Turn the Refrigerator Control to OFF.
Unplug the refrigerator. Gently remove the bulb and
reinsert. Then plug in the refrigerator and reset the
Refrioerator Control.
A light bulb has burned out.
Replace with an appliance bulb of the same wattage,
size, and shape. See "Changing the light bulbs" on
pages 26 and 27.
