8. The menu and the available options for the USB drive and memory card are the same as for the MPEG4 and
JPEG Discs. For details see the chapter on "Playing MPEG4- and JPEG-Discs".
9. Using the navigation buttons ▲▼►◄ select the required file folder and confirm the selection with the PLAY/
ENTER button to open the file folder.
10. Files from the selected folder appear on the screen. Using the navigation buttons ▲▼►◄ select the required
file and confirm the selection with PLAY/ENTER to start playing the selected file.
11. After switching off the machine, you can simply remove the USB device or the memory card.
Caution!
• Do not use a USB extension cable.
• Remove the USB device from the USB port and/or the memory card from the memory card reader after switch-
ing off the machine.
• If no CD or DVD is inserted and USB stick and memory card are connected to the machine, then the title from
the USB stick automatically plays first (priority).
Change the play function (Radio-DVD-USB/memory card) using the remote.
1. Switch to Radio mode:
1) Press the FM button on the remote to switch from DVD to radio mode.
2) To switch to Radio Mode from USB or memory card, you must first switch to DVD Mode (DVD button) then
press FM.
2. Switch to DVD Mode:
1) To switch from Radio to DVD Mode, press the DVD button on the remote.
2) To switch from USB or memory cards to DVD Mode, press the USB/DVD/CARD button on the remote. Then
select DVD Mode.
3. Switch to USB/memory card mode:
1) Press the USB/DVD/CARD button on the remote to switch from DVD to USB or memory card mode.
2) To switch to USB or memory card mode from radio mode, you must first switch to DVD Mode (DVD button)
then press USB/DVD/CARD.

CD RIP: Convert Audio CD to MP3 files

You can activate the CD-RIPPING function whilst an audio CD is playing.
Using this function, you can convert files (music titles) from an audio CD to a MP3 format, to then save it on an
external device e.g. on an MP3 player connected to a USB Port.
To convert files (music titles) from an audio CD to MP3 format and save on an MP3 Player:
1. Connect an MP3 Player directly to the USB port.
• The storage device (MP3 Player) should have sufficient free memory available.
• Check if the MP3 Player is not locked.
• The MP3 Player should be set to USB device using the DRM-10-Function.
2. Insert an audio CD into the disc tray and press the CD RIP button.
The CD RIP Menu is displayed.
