7 Media management
7.1.2 History
The History window lists all the media you have played with MIXVIBES VFX. You can choose to show the medias played during
a specific date or during a period by clicking the Calendar button in the control bar. You can also add a media to a playlist or a
MediaBase by right clicking on this media.
7.1.3 Session
The Session window lists all the medias played during the current mix session. At the end of a mix, you can create a playlist
from your Session list by right-clicking on the Session tab and selecting Duplicate. Before creating a playlist, you can edit it by
deleting a media. Be careful because if you delete a media, it will not appear in the history. All medias in the Session window
will be discarded when you exit MXIVIBES VFX.
7.1.4 Prepare
The Prepare window is a holding area for medias, much like preparing a set by lifting records part way out of your record bag.
You can drag medias (or whole folders) from the Explorer window into the Prepare window, or simply drag them from the
MediaBase window onto the Prepare tab. To create a playlist from your Prepare list, right-click on the Prepare tab and select
Duplicate.
7.1.5 Playlists
A playlist is a custom compilation of medias. For example, you might want to create a playlist of medias for a set because
playlists are an effective way of organizing your medias while preparing for a set.
