2. Periodic inspection

It is important to inspect and maintain your outboard motor regularly. At each
interval on the chart below, be sure to perform the indicated servicing. Maintenance
intervals should be determined according to the number of hours or number of
months, whichever comes first.

Strip, Clean, and adjust.
Check and clean or Replace if necessary.

Remove carbon deposits or Replace.
Check timing.
Check for wear or chafing
Check for salt deposits and
the battery cable condition.
Check installation, fluid quantity,
gravity.
Replace if necessary.
Check & adjust

Check and Replace if necessary.
Check for bent blades, damage, wear.
Change or replenish-oil and check for
water leaks.
Check for wear or damage.
Retighten
Apply and pump in grease.
Check for corrosion.
Check for corrosion and defomation.
