Baxall Vivid Digital Video Recorder
Selecting General opens a menu similar to the following:
DATE AND TIME
Selecting Date and Time will open a menu similar to the following:
Date and Time allows you to set the desired date and time for the Vivid DVR. Select the field and press the enter key. Use the
left/right arrow keys to select the date or time parameters. Use the up/down arrow keys to change the selected parameter.
Date format allows you to select the format for date display. Choose from dd/mm/yy, dd/mm/yyyy, mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy.
Show day selecting Yes will append the day in front of the displayed date e.g. Monday 01/01/2005.
Time format allows you to select the time display format. Choose from hh:mm:ss 24hr clock, hh:mm 24hr clock, hh:mm:ss
AM/PM or hh:mm AM/PM.
Get time from NTP This will obtain a time stamp using the Network Time Protocol method which is a way of syncronising the
clocks on devices connected on a Local Area Network.
Get time from GPS (for future development)
Auto summer time allows the Vivid unit to automatically compensate for daylight saving time changes. Select Yes or No.
Time difference in UTC allows you to enter a time difference in hours from UTC time (also referred to as Greenwich Mean
Time in the UK).
LANGUAGE
Selecting Language allows you to choose the language which will be used within the menu system. Choose from English (UK),
English (US), Francais, Deutsch, Español, Nederlands, Italiano, Portuguese or Russian.
MENU TIMEOUT PERIOD
Menu timeout period allows you to select the timeout period for the menu system This will close the menu system if no activity
is detected during the time period set. Select a value between 5s to 240s.
PASSWORDS
Selecting Passwords will open the following menu:
Password levels allows you to select whether passwords are required to enter the menu system. Select from the following All
passwords (password required for both user and installer), Installer password only (password required only for the installer)
or No passwords (no passwords are required).
Set user password allows you to select a new user password. Select the field and press the enter key.
