Selecting Hardware setup > Disks will open the Disks menu.
Event partition
This setting determines the percentage of disk space that will be allocated to event recording. Select between 1 and 50%
Disk record mode
This setting determines the way that data is written to the disk(s). Looping will overwrite data when the disk becomes full.
Linear will fill the disk(s) to capacity without overwriting previously recorded data and a warning will be displayed when the
disks are full or nearly full.
Timed expiry on
Ensures data is overwritten after a predetermined period. Selecting Yes opens the Timeout period option:
Timeout period
The timeout period can be set by selecting the field and pressing the enter key. Use the up/down keys to select a value for the
timeout period in days. Press enter to finish.
Stop USB devices (only visible if a USB device is connected to the front panel's USB port)
Selecting this menu item will stop all USB devices connected to the Vivid DVR.
Disk Manager
Selecting the Disk manager field and pressing the enter key will open the disk manager pages. A sample page is shown below.

The page shows the size of each installed disk, the percentage of disk space used and the status of each disk. In addition, it is
possible to erase the data from each disk. To erase a disk:
1.
Highlight the Erase field for the disk you want to erase and press the enter key.
2.
The message 'Are you sure? Data will be permanently deleted!' will be displayed.
3.
Use the left/right arrow keys to select Yes or No and press the enter key.
WARNING: Selecting Yes will permanently erase all recorded data which will no longer be available.
