Installing a Hard Drive
Before adding a hard drive, you must remove the DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive as
described in Section 6-6.
1. Power down the system and disconnect the power cord from the from the
rear of the power supply. Place the chassis on a stable hard surface and
remove the chassis cover as described in the Section 6-3.
2. If you have not already done so, remove the fan tray. For more information,
see the Maintenance section located at the end of this chapter.
3. Remove the DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive. To do this, remove the two screws
holding the drive in place. One screw is external and the other is internal.
