CONVERSION KIT INSTRUCTIONS

COMPLETE THE CONVERSION:
1. Re-install burner assembly into fireplace, checking to ensure burner venturi is properly seated over burner orifice and venturi collar ring
is inserted into venturi bracket slot.
2. Adjust external venturi (located at top of valve bracket). Pull lever down slightly and move lever to correct setting. See photos below.
CORRECT SETTINGS: NAT: 3/16" (5mm) open / LP: 5/8" (16mm) open

3. Re-install pilot shield.
4. Re-install logs*.
5. Light pilot and turn burner on*.
6. Check for leaks at all connections with soapy water, whether field or factory made.
7. Test both inlet and manifold pressures*.
8. Visually check pilot flame. Flame should envelope top of thermocouple and
thermopile 3/8" (10 mm) to 1/2" (13 mm), and extend onto burner far enough for
proper ignition.
To Adjust pilot: Remove pilot adjustment screw from gas valve. Turn inner pilot
adjustment screw clockwise to decrease or counter-clockwise to increase pilot
flame. Re-install pilot adjustment screw cover and tighten.
9. Turn burner and pilot off.
10. Affix Gas sticker over existing label on metal tag.
11. Re-install glass frame assembly and upper grill*.
12. Verify proper ignition and operation of fireplace.
13. Complete and affix 'Gas Conversion' label behind lower grill as close to gas valve
as possible.
* REFER TO FIREPLACE INSTALLATION MANUAL IF NECESSARY.
