To charge the battery
You can use either of the two following methods to charge the camera's battery.
• USB adapter
• USB connection to a computer
• To charge with the USB adapter

Turn off the camera.
Check to make sure that the camera is powered off. If it isn't,
press [
] (Power) to turn off the camera.

Connect one end of the USB cable into the camera
and the other end to the USB adapter and then
plug the USB adapter into a power outlet.

After charging is complete, disconnect the USB cable from the camera and
then unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
• To charge using a USB connection to a computer
The battery loaded in the camera is charged whenever the camera is connected directly to a
computer with the USB cable.
• Depending on the setup of your computer, you may not be able to charge the camera's
battery over a USB connection. If this happens, use of the USB adapter that comes with
the camera is recommended.
