  • Page 6 2.1 Installation 2.1 Installation Level compensation system The Valumax leveliing compensation system provides accurate weighing even when the scale is not level (up to 5 degrees from horizontal). An icon is displayed in the status bar to tell you that ValuMax is operating. If the scale is not level the icon has a cross on it.

  • Page 15 Receipt Operations This chapter tells you how to use the functions that are specific to receipt machines or machines operating in receipt mode. It includes functions you are likely to need when taking payments from customers for purchases. The operations in this section are only available when the machine is in receipt mode.
  • Page 16 3.1 Barcode scanning 3.1 Barcode scanning Use the barcode scanner at the machine to read barcodes: on products on labels on counter eceipts on vouchers. When the scanner successfully reads the barcode it bleeps. Scanning barcodes means that you do not have to enter product numbers or select a PLU. at a Point of Sale (PoS) machine or checkout, you can scan customer numbers from subtotal counter receipts to add them to the sales total receipt.

Sales receipt Machines operating in PoS (Point of Sale) mode will print sales receipts. Note: printing a sales receipt clears the operator You must have payment keys assigned to the keyboard.
  • Page 19 Prepack Operations This chapter tells you how to use pre-pack operations. Pre-pack mode enables you to print a number of consecutive labels for each selected product. The details for the selected product are ‘fixed’ automatically and a label is printed each time the weight changes and then returns to a steady weight or zero.

    4.1 Prepack operation 4.1 Prepack operation Selecting prepack mode Your machine will have been set up for pre-pack operation either by setting the print mode to prepack or by using the Fix key. Using the Fix key Direct entry to Pre-pack mode, by pressing the Fix key, can be enabled in system configuration.

If you enter the PLU number to select the product, the selected product will be the one assigned to the default department for the machine.
  • Page 23 Product traceability The traceability function enables individual purchases to be traced back to the original batch by printing trace details on labels and receipts for all products associated with a particular batch.Traceability is primarily used for beef products but can be used for other types of meat or for non meat products such as fish or cheese.

  • Page 27 Looking After Your Scale This chapter tells you how to look after your machine to ensure that you get the maximum life and quality of service from it. Service interval Your machines may have a suitable service interval set. If a service interval has ben set, a message will be displayed as you near the service date.
