Thermostat
The Thermostat can be tested with an Ohmmeter.
To Test the Thermostat:
1. Disconnect the wire connectors from the thermostat terminals.
2. Set it to the ON position.
3. Set the volt-ohm meter to the Rx1 scale.
4. Place the probes of a VOM on the two terminals. The VOM should read continuity.
5. Set it to the OFF position.
6. Place the probes of a VOM on the two terminals. The VOM should read infinity (open
circuit).
NOTE:
This check only varifies continuity through the thermostat switch, not the
accuracy of the temperature sensing mechanism.
