REAR BRAKE
This is effected by turning the brake pedal stopper ①. Be
sure to tighten the lock nut securely after setting the bolt.
After adjusting the rear brake height, adjust the brake
pedal traval. First set the pedal at position for comfort-
able riding by turning the brake pedal stopper ①, and
then adjust the free travel ② to 20-30 mm.
If adjustment is necessary, turn the rear brake adjuster
③ to obtain the specific play.

Brake lining wear limit
This motorcycle is equipped with brake lining wear limit
indicators on both rear brakes. As shown in the illustra-
tion at right, at the condition of normal lining wear, an
extended line from the index mark on the brake camshaft
should be within the range embessed on the brake panel
with the brake on. To check wear of the brake lining, fol-
low the steps below.
● Fist check if the brake system is properly adjusted.
● While operating the brake, check to see that the
range on the brake panel.
● If the index mark is outside the range as shown in
the illustration at right, the brake shoe assembly
should be replaced to ensure safe operation.

dence of air leakage.
