● Fit the cylinder head.
● Tighten the cylinder base nuts ①.
● Tighten the cylinder head base nuts ②.
Cylinder base nuts
tightening Torque
NOTE:
When mounting the cylinder, after attaching
camshaft drive chain, keep the camshaft drive
c h a i n t a u t . T h e c a m s h a f t d r i v e c h a i n m u s t
n o t b e c a u g h t b e t w e e n c a m d r i v e c h a i n
s p r o c k e t a n d c r a n k c a s e w h e n c r a n k s h a f t i s
rotated.
CAMSHAFT
● Align the mark on magneto rotor with the index mark
on the crankcase keeping the camshaft drive chain
pulled upward.
CAUTION:
I f c r a n k s h a f t i s t u r n e d w i t h o u t d r a w i n g t h e
camshaft drive chain upward, the chain will
be caught between crankcase and cam chain
drive sprocket.
● Install the key ③, cam sprocket ④ and center bolt
⑤, tighten it with a torque wrench to the specified
torque.
NOTE:
This is a left-hand thread bolt.
Tightening torque
● Align the key-groove on the camshaft so it is vertical
with the surface of the cylinder head.
NOTE:
Do not rotate magneto rotor while doing this. When
the sprocket is not positioned correctly, turn the
sprocket.
