Operating Notes

CAT-5 or CAT-6 cables should not exceed 330 feet (100 meters) between the
Sender / Receiver unit and the network.
Shielded (STP) CAT-5 or CAT-6 is recommended. However, un-shielded (UTP)
CAT-5 or CAT-6 is acceptable.
If If terminating network cables in the field, please adhere to the TIA/EIA568B
specification. See the Network Cable Diagram for details.
The Gefen DVI KVM over IP features the ability to generate compat ble EDID and Hot
Plug signals when working with different brands of source devices and monitors.
This product does not support HDCP.
Dual-link resolutions are not supported.
The following table details the IP and IP port use of the DVI KVM over IP. Each "X" in the
table, below, represents that no specified IP port is required.

IMPORTANT: The use of a Gigabit switch is required when
connecting the DVI KVM over IP to a network. When using
multicast mode, the Gigabit switch must have "jumbo frame"
capability.
