Installing an expansion board

CAUTION:
and remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the expansion boards.
CAUTION:
unless all expansion slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board
installed.
Power down the server (on page 27).
1.
Extend the server from the rack ("Extending the server from the rack" on page 27).
2.
Remove the access panel ("Removing the access panel" on page 28).
3.
Open the latch, and remove the expansion slot cover.
4.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Unlock the retaining clip (for full-length expansion boards).
