Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose of in fire or water.
Replace only with the spare designated for this product.
To remove the battery:
Power down the server (on page 27).
1.
Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Extending the server from the rack" on page 27).
2.
Remove the access panel ("Removing the access panel" on page 28).
3.
Locate the battery ("Internal components" on page 13). It might be necessary to remove expansion
4.
boards (on page 46) from and around slot 9 to access the battery.
Remove the battery.
5.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Run the RBSU to configure the server after replacing the battery. See the HP ROM-Based Setup Utility User
Guide on the Documentation CD for more detailed information.
