DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT
1. Adjust the clutch cable (page 37).

2. T O adjust, loosen the four engine
INNER BELT COVER TIGHTENING BOLTS
mounting bolts and
the three inner
belt cover tightening bolts and move
the engine forward or backward to get
proper tension on the belt.
After adjusting the tension, use a
straight edge to make sure that the
outside face of the drive pulley is flush
with the outside face of the driven
pulley.

3. Loosen the belt stopper attaching bolts. Adjust the clearance between the
belt stopper and the belt as illustrated with the clutch lever squeezed.
