SERVICING YOUR TILLER
DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT
1. Stop the engine, remove the spark plug cap.
2. Adjust the handlebar height on the third hole from the bottom
(page 19).
Remove the belt cover. Hold the clutch lever in the ENGAGED
position. Pinch the upper and lower parts of the belt together with
both hands five or six times.
Belt tension is correct when the distance form the top of the belt to
the top of the tension roller is

clutch is engaged.
3. Adjust the clutch cable (page 37).

To
adjust, loosen the four engine mounting bolts and the belt
stopper attaching two bolts (front side) and move the engine
forward or backward to get proper tension on the belt.
