Problem solving guide

With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected
without contacting Miele.

Do not attempt to open the appliance casing yourself!
Installation, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current national and
local safety regulations.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
Problem
The display is dark. ^ Check whether the mains fuse has tripped. If it has not
The oven does not
heat up.
On ovens with a
clock/timer, 0k00"
starts flashing in the
display.
A noise can be
heard after a
cooking
programme.

Possible cause and remedy

^ Check that the function selector and the temperature
selector have been set at the function and temperature
required.
^ Check whether the mains fuse has tripped. If it has not
tripped, contact a qualified electrician or Miele.
There has been a power cut.
^ Enter the time of day again.
^ Enter the cooking programme again.
This is not a fault.The cooling fan continues to operate after
a programme has finished. It switches itself off once the
oven has dropped to a certain temperature.
