Pre-heating

Most dishes can be placed in a cold
oven. They will then make use of the
heat produced during the heating-up
phase.
It is only necessary to pre-heat the oven
in a few instances:
– Pre-heating may be
necessary for foods which
cook in less than 20 minutes
and for foods such as puff
pastries and yeast mixtures
where instant heat is required
to make them rise quickly.
– for roasting beef/fillet.
– It is usually necessary to
pre-heat the oven with
Conventional heat.
Do not use Rapid heat-up
pre-heat the oven when baking
pizzas or biscuits and small cakes.
They will brown too quickly.
To pre-heat the oven:
^ Select Rapid heat-up
^ Set a temperature.
The oven will start to heat up.
^ When the temperature indicator light
Πgoes out for the first time, set the
oven function you require for
continued cooking or baking, and
place the food in the oven.
