The DBS 576 provides a variety of additional features that you can use in your daily
work:

USING THE MUTE KEY

You can use the MUTE key on your phone or an FF key assigned as a Mute key to
mute the handset or microphone so that the party on the other end cannot hear you.
(The Mute indicator flashes when using handset mute and lights steadily when the
microphone is muted.)
Note: To use handset mute, you must assign an FF key as a Mute key.
To block outgoing audio using the Mute key
1. Pick up the handset or press the ON/OFF key.
2. Dial the desired number.
3. To mute your conversation:
• Using the handset mute, press the Mute FF key.
• Using the microphone mute, press the MUTE key.
4. To turn the mute function off:
