System-wide speaker call

You can set up a connection with an internal
HiPath 4000 user by addressing him/her directly over
the loudspeaker of his/her telephone. You can also start
a speaker call from an enquiry.
To cancel a speaker call, replace the handset or - during
an enquiry - resume the call that was in progress.
Note:
For all functions, make sure that Speaker Calling
is deactivated for the telephones concerned

If you make a direct call to a user who has activat-
ed call protect, the speaker call will be ignored
and a normal call will be placed.
From your handset, you can directly call any internal
user whose telephone has the speakerphone function
or a loudspeaker.
A destination user is addressed via his internal phone
number.
Speaker calling
or The handset is not in the charging shell. Press and hold
down the Talk key or press the Speakerphone key.

Enter the code for "Speaker call" and
o
the user's phone number.
A connection to that user's loudspeaker will immediate-
ly be established if
• the connection is not busy,
• the handset is not lifted,
• and call protection is not activated.
The caller will hear a tone to indicate when the connec-
tion has been established and he/she can start speak-
ing.
The called party can accept the call by lifting the hand-
set.
If the called party presses the speakerphone key or the
Trunk key (if configured), the connection is cancelled.
