Configuring Other Server and SIP Options

A number of server settings can be specified for the IP phone to function correctly on your network. These
parameters are listed below with a brief description of their function. This list also includes SIP options
that can be specified as well. These parameters are covered in greater detail in

Table 6. Server Parameters and SIP Options Overview

Specifies the server (in URI format) to which feature-related state
changes are sent.
Defines the subscription interval for FeatureUri notifications.
Specifies the location of firmware files that the IP phone will download.
FtpServers and TftpServers may not both be specified as the non-null
value used to determine the download method for configuration files.

Specifies application and boot image file names to be downloaded to the
phone.
Specifies the hold type for the phone to use.
Specifies the line on which external MWI server subscribes originate.
Specifies the expiration interval of the MWI server subscribes.
Specifies the Request URI sent to the external MWI server.
Specifies the primary voice mailbox association. Setting this to 12 will
associate the mailbox to the external messaging server.
Specifies the secondary mailbox association. Setting this to 12 will
associate the mailbox to the external messaging server.
Selects the operating mode of the illuminated Messages function key.
Defines the URI that is called when the Message function key is pressed.
Specifies the Request URI that is used for outgoing invites to the park
zone server.
Enables or disables SIP session timers.
Specifies one or more time servers where the phone can retrieve time
and date information.
Specifies the dialing prefix used to initiate HFAAI calls.
Specifies the dial access code used to access the overhead paging
system. If this value is null, then overhead page is not presented on the
soft key as an option.
Specifies the FQDN or IP address of the STUN server, which may be
required for operating phones behind network address translation (NAT)
routers.
