Installing Cisco Unified IP Phones

Purpose
To ensure successful call
completion on systems that
require digits to be sent one
at a time.
Provide users access to
voice-messaging systems or
to navigate interactive voice
response (IVR) applications
by using the keypad to
generate DTMFs.
After you have added the phones to the Cisco Unified CallManager database, you
can complete the phone installation. You (or the phone users) can install the phone
at the users's location. The Cisco Unified IP Phone Installation Guide that ships
in the box with each phone provides directions for connecting the phone handset,
cables, and other accessories.
Before you install a phone, even if it is new, upgrade the phone to the current
firmware image.
