Key Panel Unit and Display Panel Unit
The phone can be equipped with up to three key panel units (KPUs) or
up to two display panel units (DPUs). Each key panel offers 24 additional
keys, allowing you to store the most frequently used phone numbers and
features. For a description on how to program the keys as shortcuts, see
13.2 Shortcuts on page 93.
DPUs are self-signing, meaning that the name, number, or function that
is programmed to a certain key, will be shown in the display next to the
key.
For KPUs you need to print and place a card under the plastic designa-
tion cover. Use the Design Card Manager (DCM) tool to create and print
your own key panel designation cards. The latest version of the DCM
tool can be downloaded from www.aastra.com.
For more information, please contact your Aastra Enterprise Certified
Sales Partner.
Note: It is not possible to have both KPUs and DPUs installed on the
same phone.
