3. Connecting the base to the mains power supply

*) The LAN2 and FAX connections are not available for all devices (
1 Insert the small jack on the power cable from the rear into the recess in the
housing.
2 Plug the jack into the port marked with the symbol \ on the underside of
the base.
3 Then connect the power cable to the mains power supply.
Warning

Keep the power cable plugged in at all times for operation, as the base does
not work without a mains connection.

Use only the power and telephone cables supplied.

The pin connections of telephone cables for the analogue fixed line can vary.
The correct pin connections can be found in the long user guide on the
enclosed CD.
The software of the base is loaded. After a short time, the idle display is displayed
on the base; it is in idle mode.
Now you can make calls with your base via the fixed line or ISDN, and can be
reached via your fixed line number or the main number of your ISDN connection!
The answering machine on the base is set with a pre-recorded announcement in
answer and record mode (
