Setting up the base – installation wizard
As soon as the phone is connected to the mains power supply, the firmware is
started. If no connections have been generated on the base yet, the installation
wizard starts. The wizard allows you to make all necessary settings for your phone.

The phone checks which phone connection (analogue fixed line or ISDN) it is
connected to.

The installation wizard only starts if no connection has been configured on
the base yet. If connections have already been configured, you can start the
VoIP and ISDN wizards (individually) via the menu.

Use only the installation wizard on the base, but not on a registered handset.
Several individual wizards are combined to form the installation wizard. The indi-
vidual wizards that start on your device depend on your type of device and the con-
nections to which the device is connected. The following individual wizards are
included in the installation wizard:
1 ISDN wizard
2 IP wizard
3 Registration wizard
4 Connection wizard
Refer to the following table to see which of the following steps are run on your
device and connection type, and which individual wizards are started.
