Configuring settings for the
next call
Activating/deactivating "withhold
number" for the next call
You can withhold your phone number for
the next call (CLIR = Calling Line Identifica-
tion Restriction).
In idle status:

Select and press

Enter the number or copy from
the directory.

The MSN that your phone selects depends
on the send connections setting
(¢ page 64).
u Individual MSN set: the number is dialled
automatically.

Generally speaking, you can withhold your
number for all calls (¢ page 65).
Activating/deactivating the
keypad function for the next call
The Keypad function allows you to control
certain features by entering sequences of
characters and digits. For keypad control
(¢ page 69).
You can temporarily activate keypad control
for the next call.

Identifying nuisance callers – caller
ID detection
Caller ID detection is used to identify annoy-
ing or threatening callers.
Prerequisite: you have requested caller ID
detection from your network provider.
Please contact your network provider first if
you experience any problems.
Setting up caller ID detection
If you have requested caller ID detection,
increase the time until the connection is ter-
minated:

Increase the time until the con-
nection is terminated to 30 sec-
onds.
Or

Set the time until the connec-
tion is terminated to 3 seconds.
Determining the caller
Carry out the following steps during the call
or immediately after the caller has hung up.
You must not press the end call key a!

The caller is identified by the exchange. You
will receive a list from your network provider
at a later date giving the caller's number and
the time and date. Your network provider
will provide you with more detailed informa-
tion.
