Use this table to identify malfunction and perform the corrective action. If problems
persist, contact your dealer or the service agent.
Check Item
Is the modular cord
connected correctly?
Is the Send error displayed?
Have you specified the
correct line type for your
telephone service?
Is the memory full?
Is the modular cord
connected correctly?

Have you set FAX reject
setting?
Did the sender use the
correct procedure for polling
transmission?
Is the memory full?
Is the forwarding destination
correctly registered?
Is your facsimile operating,
such as receiving
documents?
Corrective Action
Connect the modular cord
correctly.
Correct the error and try
sending again.
Check the telephone line
setting.
Try sending once again when
memory becomes available.
Otherwise, make memory
available as necessary and
try again.
Connect the modular cord
correctly.
Correct the error and ask the
sender to resend the FAX.
Clear the FAX reject setting.
Ask the sender to check their
fax machine.
Try receiving faxes once
again when memory
becomes available.
Otherwise, make memory
available as necessary and
