Sight along the upper edge of the
straight edge to the satellites (see figure 19).
With the azimuth and elevation to the satellites known, select possible mounting
sites
for the dish. When selecting these sites, the first and foremost thing is to ensure that
there is a clear and unobstructed
view of the satellites.
Before installing the dish at a
selected site, check the line-of-sight
path to the satellites.
Be especially
concerned
about:
•
Tree growth.
•
Foliage.
•
New buildings or additions to old buildings.
Each of these items can block or reduce the dish's view of the satellites.
