Problems with Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000

Cannot install the operating system correctly.
Did you confirm the notes on installing the operating system?
→ See Chapter 6.
During installation, the following warning is registered in the System Log of the Event Viewer:
Error detected on the device \Device\CdRom0
during the paging operation.
→ There is no problem on this issue.
Fail to start the OS:
Is a floppy disk in the floppy disk drive?
→ Take out the floppy disk and restart the server.
Is the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive?
→ Take out the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM and restart the server.
Is the OS broken?
→ Use recovery process to recover the system. (See "Recovery for Windows 2000
System" in this Chapter.)
Unable to update the system
Are you trying to update the system without applying Service Pack or with Service
Pack 1, 2, or 3?
Without applying Service Pack and applying Service Pack 1, 2, or 3 to this system are
not supported.
You have to apply Service Pack 4 to update the system.
If you use Windows 2000 CD-ROM which includes Service Pack 4 to install
Windows 2000 on your system, you do not have to apply Service Pack 4 again
when you update the system.
The OS presents unstable operation:
Did you update the system?
→ Installing a network drive after installation of the OS may cause unstable
operation. Use the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM to update the system.
