About MP3/WMA/AAC File of USB
Memory
Playing back MP3/WMA/AAC
MP3/WMA/AAC files are prepared, then stored to a USB
memory. A media player or jukebox can also be used to sync
music to a portable device. Do not make a file's playback time
more than 1 hour.
Media supported
This device can play back USB memory/Portable audio player
media.
Corresponding File Systems
This device supports FAT 12/16/32 for USB memory device/
Portable audio player.

Connecting an iPod/iPhone

An iPod/iPhone can be connected to this unit, by using the USB
connection cable. When an iPod/iPhone is connected to this unit, you
can choose to control the iPod/iPhone using its own controls or by the
head unit controls. For details, refer to "Setting the iPod Control"
(page 77).
The Owner's Manual only introduces on how to control an iPod/iPhone
via this unit. So before the following operation, make sure to set HU
mode in "Setting the iPod Control" (page 77). On how to control an
iPod/iPhone on itself, refer to Owner's Manual of iPod/iPhone.
• Other applications (Internet function, etc.) of the iPod touch
or iPhone are not controllable from the unit; however, these
functions can be controlled from the iPod touch or iPhone
itself.
• If you connect an iPhone to this unit, it can be used as an
iPod.
• To watch the video screen of the file from iPod/iPhone
(iPhone, iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod 5th generation, iPod
nano (3rd generation), iPod nano (4th generation) and iPod
nano (5th generation)), using the USB connection and the
Parking Brake must be engaged, set "AUX2 IN" to "iPod
Video" in "Setting the AUX Mode" (page 48).
• For automatic transmission vehicles, place the transmission lever in
the Park position.
