Radio Setup

"Radio Setup" is selected on the source setup main menu in step 4.
Adjusting Source Signal Levels
If the difference in volume level between the CD and FM radio is
too great, adjust the FM signal level as follows.
Setting item: FM Level
Setting contents: Low / High
PI Seek Setting
Setting item: PI Seek
Setting contents: OFF / Auto
Receiving RDS Regional (Local) Stations
When OFF is selected, the unit automatically keeps receiving the
related local RDS station.
Setting item: RDS Regional
Setting contents: OFF / ON
Switching the Display Language of PTY (Programme Type)
You can select one of the patterns of the display languages.
Setting item: PTY Language
Setting contents: GB / NL / F / D / I / E
Setting PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) Reception
PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) reception can be set to ON/OFF.
Setting item: PTY31
Setting contents: OFF / ON
• The unit automatically gives priority to an Emergency Broadcast
whenever it begins, and interrupts the programme you are currently
listening to when PTY31 is set to ON.
• The unit will show "Alarm" in the display during PTY31 reception.
Setting the TUNER (FM) tone quality (Tuner Condition)
This unit can set your preferred tone quality for FM radio source.
Setting item: Tuner Condition
Setting contents: Normal / HiFi / Stable
Normal: Standard setting
HiFi: High-quality setting
Stable: Control noise
• Noise may be more noticeable when HiFi is set, depending on the
reception status. In this case, the Normal setting is recommended.

USB Search

"USB Search" is selected on the source setup main menu in step 4.
Setting the USB Search Mode
The unit allows you to search for the USB Audio files by Tag
information or Explorer (File Name) mode.
Setting item: USB Search
Setting contents: Tag / File Name
Tag: When Tag is selected, you can use Playlists/Artists/
Albums/Songs/Genres/Composers/Folders/Files
search mode to narrow searches.
File Name: When File Name is selected, you can search a
folder/file as search files on PC.
• After the above setting, turn the ignition key off (ACC OFF) and on
again (ACC ON).
• For search mode details, refer to "Searching for a desired Song"
(page 74).
• When a portable audio player is connected, even though File Name is
set, the Tag information search mode will be applied.
