Protocol) client. It is designed to display time referenced to either an internal NTP time server, or one located on the Internet. The ND-CLK contains a stepper motor drive with advanced microprocessor and electronics to rapidly and automatically synchronize the hands on the face of the clock to an accurate NTP (Network Time Protocol) time server.
INSTALLATION Operating Environment The ND-CLK is not water or moisture proof. Treat it as you would any other delicate electronic device and do not expose it to water, excessive heat or physical abuse. The ND-CLK contains a stepper motor and microprocessor control electronics designed to operate in indoors environments.
Pre-Installation Checklist Before installing a ND-CLK, one should be prepared with the following basic configuration information that the device will require. It may be necessary to obtain some or all of this information from a network administrator in your organization.
Page 7
Maximum distance is 100m/328ft [Important Note: the ND-CLK with an installed POE (Power Over Ethernet) option, will obtain its power directly from a POE powered source using the spare wires of a standard network cable with RJ45 connector for input power. The POE source must be a fully compliant IEEE 802.3af PSE operating at +48VDC.

Important Note: The hands of the ND-CLK cannot be set manually. Do not attempt to open the clock to access the hands. This action will violate your warranty. This device has no user serviceable parts inside. The position of the hands has been factory set and is retained in non-volatile memory.
Mounting The ND-CLK is designed for surface mounting on a wall. Power and/or low voltage signal wiring should be provided and installed according to local electrical codes to access the clock from the rear. A mounting bracket is supplied which has been designed to fit on either a standard 2”x 4”...
Display Behavior The ND-CLK may take up to 20 minutes to set the time, depending on the current internal [local] time and the hand positions. If the ND-CLK’s hands do not move to the correct time within 20 minutes, check the section entitled Troubleshooting Tips.
