3.4.2 Changing the Wireless Settings
In the Wireless menu, change the Wireless Network Name (SSID) from the default 'NetComm MyZone' to something more personal. Similarly you should
personalise the wireless security key (WPA Pre Shared Key). The default security key which is 'password.'
You can increase or decrease the network authentication level. However, WPA-PSK is fairly secure and compatible with most wireless devices. Please note
that reducing the Network Authentication to WEP maybe increase security threat, while increasing it to WPA2, though more secure, might raise compatibility
issues with some older Wireless devices.
Once you've completed all the settings, click on 'Save' to store the settings on to the device.
3.4.3 Service Provider/ 3G Carrier Settings
Under the '3G/HSPA' menu you can configure your carrier/ service provider details.
Every carrier network is recognised by an APN (Access Point Name). The MyZone firmware has most carrier details stored on it. So once you've inserted the
SIM you should see the 3G Internet Connection LED turn ON after 1-5 minutes.
However, your SIM connects to a special network or it can't detect the carrier through the built-in Auto APN function, please select the APN name manually.
Note:
You will need the Access Point Name (APN) from your service provider plus any username, password, or other information they may have given you.
If your SIM has a PIN number please enter the PIN number. Click the remember PIN option if you want to avoid entering the PIN number each time you want
to use the device. Once you've completed all the settings, click on 'Save' to store the settings on to the device.
