Troubleshooting
In the event that you have a problem with your Truecharge™
2 Battery Charger, the following tables will help you to
identify the problem and offer possible solutions to the
problem.
Symptom
Indicator LEDs do not illuminate when charger is connected to an AC
power source.
Possible Cause
No power at AC source or no
battery connected on bank 1
Defective AC wiring or
switches/breakers
Symptom
Fault indicator LED illuminates. Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger stops
functioning.
Possible Cause
Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger
does not detect battery for one
of following reasons:
poor connection
reverse polarity connection
(blown fuse)
damaged wiring
open DC breaker or external
fuse
Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger
internal temperature too hot

Solution
Ensure that power is available at charger AC
input and a battery or bank is connected on
bank 1.
Wiring must be inspected and replaced by a
qualified technician.
Solution
Check quality of battery connection and
wires.
Ensure correct polarity (negative connected
to negative, positive connected to positive).
Also, check the type of fault from Table 3-1,
"Interpreting Fault and Warning Indicators"
on page 3–5.
Allow the Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger
to cool. Improve ventilation or install in
cooler location.
