Retrofit installation
with 15" wide grille
1. Remove the new construction bracket (NCB) from the
packaging and use it as a template for the drywall
cutout. Mark and cut the wall in the desired location,
as shown in Fig. 2, allowing for at least 1/16" clearance.
Use a level if necessary.
2. Run speaker wire to the subwoofer location(s). You will
need (one) two-conductor wire per subwoofer module.
3. Insert NCB in the cutout, making sure that its mounting
flange sits firmly on top of the drywall surface. Using at
least four long wood screws and a screw gun, install the
NCB as shown in Fig. 2. Level the NCB if necessary using
the bend out metal tabs to account for any tolerance.

4. Take the subwoofer module and install it inside the NCB
using the four supplied machine screws. See detail in
Fig. 3. Make sure it is fastened tightly and does not rattle.
5. Hook up speaker cable to binding posts at the bottom,
paying attention to correct polarity.
6. Install the 15" wide grille by inserting its frame inside
the NCB. The magnets behind the grille's rails will hold it
securely in place.
