Example using OpenOffice or using Star Suite

Paper sizes supported by the VarioLink 9522 may not be displayed when the OpenOffice is being used.
In such a case, follow the procedure given below. However, the procedure described here is applicable
when the OpenOffice 1.0.2 is used on the RedHat9 and the procedure and operation given below may
vary according to the version of an OS used.

From the main menu, select [Office], then [OpenOffice.org Printer Setup].
The printer Administration dialog box appears.

Click [New Printer].
The Add Printer dialog box appears.

Check that Add a printer is selected, and then click [Next].
Depending on the application that is used, the button may be displayed in graying-out.
The printer selection list appears.

Click [Import].
Driver Installation dialog box appears.

Enter /usr/share/cups/model/ in the driver directory and then click [Browse].

Click [Select] from Select path windows.

In the Selection of drivers list, select "GENERIC 95BW-1 OpenOffice PPD".

Click [OK].

Select "GENERIC 95BW-1 OpenOffice PPD" (KO950opn.ppd), and then click [Next].

In the command line, enter "lpr -P" followed by the name of the printer added first, then click Next.

Change the printer name.

Click [Finish]. The Printer Administration dialog box appears again.

Click [Close].

From the main menu, select [Office], then [OpenOffice.org Writer].

Click [Print] in the File menu.
The Print dialog box appears.

Select the name of the printer specified in the OpenOffice printer settings.

Click [OK].
