9.5.2 Bluetooth, IR Modem
To use Bluetooth to connect to the mobile modem on the phone, please make sure
your computer is equipped with a Bluetooth transfer device. The Bluetooth device
driver should support Bluetooth modem and dialup networking functions (please
refer to your Bluetooth device manual). Then, confi gure the Bluetooth modem on
the computer.

To use IR to connect to the mobile modem on the phone, please make sure your
computer is equipped with an IR transfer device. Please set the phone to use the
IR modem connection and set up the IR modem on the computer.
After the computer is configured to use the IR or Bluetooth modem, please go
to "Control Panel> Network Connections" on the computer to add a new IR or
Bluetooth modem connection for dialup networking. Before configuring dialup
networking, ask for the modem dialup number from your telecom service provider.
After configuring the IR or Bluetooth dialup connection, you can go to "Control
Panel> Network Connections" to dial the wireless mobile network. Before using the
Bluetooth dialup connection, please make sure you have established the computer
and phone Bluetooth connection (to add new Bluetooth devices, please refer to
section 9.3). To use an IR dialup connection, please make sure the IR ports on the
phone and computer are adjacent and lined up.
