5.1 Contacts

Use the Contacts application to manage your contact information, to
quickly connect with or send messages to your contacts. Using the
Microsoft Office Outlook® data sync function, you can easily sync
your contacts to the contacts list on the phone to manage them. In the
Contacts application, you can add, view, edit, copy, and delete contacts,
or manage contacts in categories. You can also use Bluetooth, IR, and

MMS to send contacts to other people.
When using IR to share contacts, please line up the IR port on the phone
with the IR port of the other device. When using Bluetooth sharing,
please fi rst use Comm Manager (please refer to section 9.4) to activate
the Bluetooth function on the phone.
You can also use the SIM card manager to copy contact information from
the SIM card to the phone's Contacts application. It is also possible to
add a new contact's name and phone information to the SIM card. When
you swap the SIM card to other phones, you can access contacts saved
on the SIM card.
Contacts saved to phone memory can be backed up using the Microsoft
Offi ce Outlook® sync function; if you save contacts to the SIM card, then
it is not possible to specify any fi elds other than name and phone.
