9.5 Wireless Modem

This phone is equipped with mobile modem functions. Your computer or other
device can use a USB, Bluetooth, or IR connection to the mobile modem on the
phone and use its GPRS/UMTS/CSD connection to access the wireless mobile
network of a telecom service provider.
9.5.1 USB Modem
In order to use USB to connect to the mobile modem on the phone, you must fi rst
connect the computer and phone with a USB cable. Please confi gure the phone
and the computer to use the USB connection. Before confi guring the USB modem,
insert the phone's user CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. Locate the
folder "OEM\APPS\Drivers\GSM USB Modem" on the CD to fi nd the following fi les:
• USBMDM.INF
• USBModem_Dialer.exe
Before using the modem, please make sure that the GPRS/UMTS supported

SIM/USIM card is inserted into the phone, that the phone and computer are
connected through USB, and that ActiveSync® is deactivated.
