Troubleshooting
Before calling service personnel, please check the following table for a possible cause
of the problem you are experiencing. Please note the following:
No image is displayed
The image is not centered
The remote control doesn't
work
The picture color looks poor

• Perform the adjustments according to "Operating the EP4560/EP5550" on
page 19.
• If the problem you have experienced isn't described below or you can't correct
the problem, stop using the EP4650/EP5550 and contact Planar's Technical
Support Department. (See "Accessing Planar's Technical Support Website" on
page 81)
Issue

Check for the following
Make sure the correct source is selected.
Make sure the main power switch is turned ON.
Check that the source equipment is operating correctly.
Make sure the input signal is compatible with this display.
Make sure the input signal is compatible with this display.
Make sure the batteries are new and are installed correctly.
Ensure the remote is aimed at the IR sensor.
Make sure the remote control sensor is plugged in
correctly.
Make sure the remote is aimed towards the back of the
display, where the sensor is located.
Check the picture settings.
Reset the display.
If you are using YUV terminals, make sure cables are
correctly connected.
Check ADC calibration. (See "User ADC Calibration" on
page 54)
