    Unpacking the Display Check the contents of your Dome E4c display package for all the items shown here. Save the original packaging materials for storage and shipping. IMPORTANT: Read “Handling the Display” on page 10 before you set up the display.

    Display Components The LED on the display front indicates display status. Green, the display is connected and running properly. Amber, the video signal is not being received.   • Page 6: Installing The Display Controller

    Installing the Display Controller Remove any existing graphics card and its driver from your computer system before you install the MX4 board and driver. Also disable any onboard graphics capability on the motherboard. See safety precautions on page 2. To install the controller 1 Turn off your computer and all peripherals.

    Connecting the Display Use only the power cord supplied with your display. To connect the display 1 Plug the DVI cable into the bottom video port of the installed controller. (Only the bottom port allows you to enable dual-link functionality. Use the bottom port to support the display with the full, non-scaled 2560 x 1600 resolution.)

    1 Right-click the desktop and select Properties > Settings. 2 Use the native resolution of the display, 2560x1600. 3 For use of the second display, select Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor. 4 Click OK until you return to the desktop.

    Use the PowerDesk dialog to make changes to the video settings. To rotate the display 1 Click the PowerDesk icon (on taskbar), and select Monitor Adjustments on the PowerDesk menu. 2 Select Adjust Orientation, then the degree of rotation. Click OK.

    Handling the Display • Set up your display on a stable, level surface away from any direct light or heat source, but near a grounded AC outlet. • Choose a well-ventilated location with an adequate amount of space. Do not block the vents on the back of the display.
