LOUDNESS: This function amplifies the
soft bass sounds to make
them audible to the human
ear.
LOUD 1 - little amplification
LOUD 6 - greatest amplifi-
cation
PTY LANG:
With this function you can
set the program type identi-
fication to either GERMAN
or ENGLISH.
PTY SET:
Use the PTY SET mode to
alter the factory preset as-
signment of the station but-
tons. Press the station but-
ton you wish to alter. Select
PTY SET in the DSC mode
with the help of the rocker
switch
/ . Use the rocker
switch <</>> to select the
program type desired. Then
press the corresponding
station button for longer
than 2 seconds.
You can store different va-
lues for this setting separa-
tely on KeyCard 1 and 2.
SCANTIME:
Use this function to set the
scan time for the radio or
CD player from between 5
and 30 seconds with the
help of the rocker switch
<</>>.
S-DX:
Select the station search
sensitivity for long distance
reception with this function.
DX1 - high sensitivity
DX3 - normal sensitivity
S-LO:
Select the station search
sensitivity for local recepti-
on with this function.
LO1 - sensitive
LO3 - insensitive
SPEECH:
In future many RDS radio
stations will differentiate
between music and speech
programs. You can alter
the tone from between 0
and 4.
You can store different va-
lues for this setting separa-
tely on KeyCard 1 and 2.
ST NAME:
With this function you can
name any radio station.
TA LEVEL:
With this function you can
set the volume for traffic
announcements from bet-
ween 1 to 9. The traffic
announcements will then
be broadcast at this volu-
me. In addition to this, you
can adjust the loudspea-
kers (BAL/FAD) and the
tone (BAS/TRE) for TA
(with respect to the driver's
position). You must adjust
this before setting the TA
LEVEL. After you have
stored these settings, then
set the standard values for
the loudspeakers and tone.
TIM TIME:
Use this menu to set the
recording time for traffic
announcements when the
audio equipment is swit-
ched off.
If the timer has been acti-
vated, then "TIM ON" will
light up when the radio is
switched off.
Switch the timer off by set-
ting the time to OFF (bet-
ween 23.00 and 0.00 h).
