2.6 Installing the Driver Software in

Once the AVM ISDN-Controller has been inserted in your
computer, turn your computer back on. Windows 98 auto-
matically detects that a new Plug and Play device is present:
the ISDN-Controller. The "Add/Remove Hardware Wizard" is
started.
Insert the FRITZ!Card PCI CD and follow the instructions on
the screen. Note the following:
1. When asked: "What do you want Windows to do?", se-
lect the option "Search for the best driver for your de-
vice. (Recommended)."
2. When the program asks where the driver is located, ac-
tivate only the option "CD-ROM drive".

3. When the message "Windows has finished installing
the software selected that your new hardware device re-
quires." appears, click "Finish".
Next, the welcome window of the installation program
for the AVM ISDN-Controller FRITZ!Card PCI appears
automatically.
4. Specify the folder in which the driver software is to be
installed on your computer.
