2.1.2 Install the Mellanox SX1018HP Ethernet Switch into the HP BladeSystem Enclo-
sure
 To install the Mellanox SX1018HP Ethernet Switch into the HP BladeSystem c7000 enclo-
sure, follow these steps:
1. Slide the Mellanox SX1018HP Ethernet Switch all the way into the HP BladeSystem c7000
enclosure (see Figure 8).
2. Push the blade handle in until it is in the locked position (see Figure 8). The blade handle is
locked when you can not pull it back out without pushing the blade handle release.

Installing and Removing Cables

Figure 9 shows a cable with a QSFP+ connector used with the Mellanox SX1018HP Ethernet
Switch. QSFP+ connector to QSFP+ connector cables are used to connect multiple Mellanox
SX1018HP Ethernet Switches together. For example, you might connect two or more c-Class
interconnect modules together, for example, when another switch is installed in another HP Blad-
eSystem c7000 enclosure that is mounted in the same rack. The Mellanox SX1018HP Ethernet
Switches are connected together by the QSFP+ to QSFP+ cables to form a high-performance net-
work.
