To connect to an amplifier/receiver equipped with 5.1-channel inputs
The unit is equipped with the Dolby Digital and MPEG Multichannel decoders and can feed 5.1-channel outputs. So you
can enjoy any type of the high quality surround sounds by connecting the unit to an amplifier/receiver equipped with the
5.1-channel inputs.
Connect the unit's AUDIO OUT jacks to the analog 5.1-channel inputs of an amplifier or receiver using the supplied audio
cables.

• Be sure to connect correctly between corresponding terminals. The order of the 5.1-channel terminals depends on
units.
NOTES
• The DTS surround signals are output only from the DIGITAL OUT jacks.
• When using the 5.1-channel outputs of the unit, set "DOWN MIX" to "OFF" and "SPEAKER SETTING" to "5.1 CHANNEL" or
"EXPERT" on the "AUDIO" page of the "PREFERENCE" display. If "EXPERT" is selected, you can adjust the audio output
balance of the speakers using the "EXPERT SPEAKER SETTING" display (see page 47).
