Pre-tensioner
The pre-tensioner (1) holds the thread in position if the main
tensioner (2) is open.
The pre-tensioner (1) also determines the length of the initial
thread for the new seam when the thread is cut:

(1) - Pre-tensioner
In the basic position, the upper side of the adjusting wheel for the
pre-tensioner (1) is flush with bolt (3) in the center.
To adjust the pre-tensioner:
• Shorter initial thread:
Turn the adjusting wheel (1) clockwise.
• Longer initial thread:
Turn the adjusting wheel (1) counterclockwise.
