BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Check
the following
list to be sure a service
call is really necessary.
A quick
reference
to this manual

help you avoid an unneeded
service
call.
THE AIR CONDITIONER WILL NOT OPERATE
Check
if...
Wail plug disconnected.
House fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.
Power switch is OFF.
Unit was turned off and then on too quickly.
TEMP Control set warmer than room temperature.
Then...
Push plug firmly into wall outlet.
Replace fuse with time delay type or reset circuit breaker.
Push the power button.
Turn unit off and wait 3 minutes before restarting.
Turn TEMP Control to a lower temperature.
AIR FROM UNIT DOE8 NOT FEEL COLD ENOUGH.
Checkif...
Then...
FAN SPEED set at LOW.
TEMP Control set too warm.
Temperature sensing tube touching evaporator coil,
located behind front grille.
Push MODE button to set at COOL-HI.
Set TEMP Control to cooler setting.
Straighten tube away from evaporator coil.
Remove Front Grille, then straighten tube away from evaporator coil.
THEAIRCONDITIONER COOLING, BUTROOM IBTOOWARM-ICE FORMING ON COOLING COILBEHIND INLETGRILLE.

Then...
Outdoor t emperature below70°F(21"C).
To defrost t he coil,set MODEto FANONLYHI.
